Christmas Camp – December 2018
9 of our Beavers attended Christmas camp. It was extremely cold and little sleep was had but they all had a great time trying out all of the activities on offer. We started on the Friday night with campfire songs and a visit to Santa then on Saturday, after a full breakfast, we attempted archery, fencing, wall traversing, an assault course, pedal cars races, toasting marshmallows and much more. Hopefully this will be our first of many.

Still the appointments to complete, but im confident enough o open the waiting list in readiness.

I will advise further details in the next few weeks.

News from the Beavers, Autumn 2016

At the time of writing this some of our little Beavers are on their first Beaver Camp. We hope they are having a wonderful time and we are looking forward to hearing all about it.

It was good to see our Beavers return after the summer holidays, they’d all had a marvellous time and couldn’t wait to tell us all about it.

We got straight back into working on another badge, this time it’s the Space Activity Badge. We’ve learned all about the phases of the moon. We tried to observe the moon during the Harvest Moon, but unfortunately the weather was a little cloudy so this was tricky, although a couple of our more tenacious Beavers managed to get a glimpse and record it. You know who you are, well done! Last week we learnt the names of the planets in the solar system and a little bit about each one.

We’ve still got some more work to do before we’ve earnt our badge; we are going to learn about some constellations and a current space mission. We will be making our own star projectors and space stations. And we are hoping (weather permitting) to have an evening stargazing to put our newly learned astronomy skills into practice.

We are planning lots of other fun activities including a trip to Belchamps and a fun night with the cubs to celebrate Fireworks night.
