Great Wakering Sea Scouts had a great turn out for the Remembrance Church Parade on Sunday 12th November.

Open Day Thanks

Once again thank you to all the leaders and Helpers who made the 2017 Family Open Day a huge success with land and sea Activities enjoyed by your people from all sections as well as various relatives. The weather once again shone helped by the enthusiasm by you all to be part of the day was reflected by its success.

This would not have happened were it not for the help before, and especially on the day of the event; including the leaders instructing on the water but particularly a thank you to the cooking and catering teams keeping our “Family” fed and watered throughout the day.

Our numbers were near maximum for the day but we hope to offer one or two similar smaller days during the summer holiday. More ad-hoc but once again open to all sections. Some sections will meet through the Summer but otherwise I would like to thank all the Leaders and Helpers of the group for their continued hard work and enthusiasm throughout the term, and look forward to working together In September.

I hope to see you all, and more, at our next event the Group AGM in September, until then, have a Fun, Safe and Challenging Summer break.
